I thought a true test of a moblile blog would be to see if I could manage one about my much looked forward to trip to the Auvergne

You can take your FIFA mega miga computer footie, for me table football, or as they say in France, baby foot, is as good as it gets.

The Journey (Our Citroen’s Big Little Adventure)

There were times when we wrongly doubted our little Citroen. Despite being over 12 years old, it has been a fantastically loyal car, which has delivered us to Chassignolles in comfort and without any hiccups. That’s roughly 600 miles.

One of the delights of our stay at Chassignolles (and there have been many) is to sit and watch the sky whilst having a drink and looking forward to our next meal. Coming from Suffolk I’m used to a big sky, but nowhere I have visited matches the immensity of this landcape and the grandeur of the sky that tops it. We are not in the film, and neither is the place we are staying, but you will have to picture us relaxing and anticipating our next meal, craning our necks to savour that immense dappled blue sky.

By The Roadside.

Easily missed.

The wonky chair at the end of the hall. Probably nicer to photograph that to sit on. This photo-joiner isn’t far off what it actually looks like

“You have to know where you are on the map!”
Unfortunately, too much camera action and foraging lead to us forgetting David Hawes’ valuable cartographic advice. Two hours into a 3 hour walk, we realised we were lost. But in a nice way.
